The course that is provided on this website consists of 6 modules designed to prepare you for critical reflection and analysis of your international experiential learning, internship or volunteer abroad program. The purpose of critical reflection is to facilitate understanding of the challenges and opportunities of global engagement in a world of inequality. The materials here can be used at any stage of your reflection process (before going abroad, while abroad, upon your return or just to consider global engagement more generally in making informed decisions about whether you wish to go abroad and with what kind of organization.

The modules are designed with flexibility in mind. There are videos of the authors speaking about the core aspects of their book chapters, other videos to consider, recommended readings, and other resources. You can choose from a range of these resources in going through this material. However, it is highly recommended that you complete at least one reading per module to get the full understanding required.
